I pronounce it as "cran" not "crayon" ​

I mean, the letter Y is not silenced like other words. For example, P not being used in words psychology, psychiatry, etc.

Also, to me, cran sounds like a shortened version of cranberry or something. But, of course, nobody shortens that word.
