Working my way through The Seven Deadly Sins. Finished season 1 recently. Fairly enjoyable. I also got started on Neon Genesis Evangelion, but I'm having a hard time finishing since mecha isn't my fav genre. Up to ep 11. It's a classic so I gotta keep going.

Ditto here on the mecha thing. Ironically, one of my favorite anime ever is Code Geass lol.

Mechas themselves aren't that interesting, but lot of good animes are mechas like Gurren Lagann and Code Geass :D

Fire Force and Dr. Stone are getting a shit ton of hate LOL. I mean I knew people were doing their usual over hyping but geez are the shows that bad?
Vinland Saga, on the other hand, is getting a lot of praise.

I haven't seen Dr. Stone getting hate? But Fire Force.. biggest issue for me is pacing lot of things seem to happen from nowhere.

A lot of people are complaining about the pacing for Fire Force. Omg I was looking forward to it the most 😭
And yeah I've seen quite a bit of hate for Dr. Stone on reddit.

Dr.Stone isn't my favorite, but i can't point anything being wrong with it It's mostly that even from the teaser i wasn't that into the story and characters. If anything, they have grown to me a bit. I have no idea what people could hate about it though.

Last ep of Fruits Basket reminded me of kpop fandoms- or well any fandom that idolizes someone, puts them in pedestal and tries to be overprotective and controlling. Taking ownership over someone while claiming to love them and think their best, hating other girls that approach them or they are close to, being jealous over someone you just have watched afar and who doesn't know or barely knows your existence. I feel like many fans should hear that scolding from Megumi- ur overbearing love can become burden to someone and make them hate you.

OH MY FUCKING GOD!! LITERALLY, IF NEVERLAND DIDN'T AIR THIS YEAR, THIS WOULD BY FAR BE ANIME OF THE YEAR! THE ART, THE STORY, THE VOICES, THE SOUNDTRACK, EVERYTHING IS ON POINT! SLAY ME TANJIRO!! AND OMG THE 19TH EPISODE WAS CRAZY! I CAN SEE WHY I TRENDED!!

Fire Force's Opening is slaying the charts in Japan, kinda like Demon Slayer's. I wonder if this means the anime is doing the best in Japan, this season.

It's popular in the west too, second to Dr.Stone in MAL, but that doesn't mean it's good

I got interested and found this site for rankings in Japan- These are the Most Popular Anime in Japan right now (July 2019) but it present them from lot of places and they seem to differ

Anikore says top three currently is 1) How heavy dumbbells you lift are? 2) Skilled Teaser Takagi 3) Maiden's of savage season (they don't seem to care about action with this one, it's all about slice of life and cute&funny girls?)

Akiba-souken: 1) Arifureta (which is lot of i-fans watch as well while acknowledging it's shit) 2) Dr. Stone 3) 7SEEDS

Nicovideo mostly gives anime from last season idk how to use it.

The OP was number 3 when it was released and pretty much in the top 10 for like 2 months. LiSA is very popular for her anime OPs. She's been doing them for SO long! Another recent hit she got with an anime OP was SAO's OP last year;

As for Inferno, Mrs Green Apple is a great band! Sure, Inferno is kinda meh as a song but they have bops! Last year, one of my favorite songs was released by them :D

Btw ADAMAS was great but Register was definitely the superior OP


Both were super hits in Japan. As you can see, SAO is a huge anime in Japan lol.

I liked visuals with Register more, but ADAMAS has unbeatable energy.
