When Stratovarius kicked out Timo Tolkki, their guitarist and lead songwriter and lyricist, their future seemed so grim in the eyes of fans. Tolkki himself said that there was no Stratovarius without him. Then they recruited Matias Kupiainen, fellow Finn and classical guitarist-turned studio wizard and electric guitar virtuoso. Then on May 13th 2009, they released their twelfth album "Polaris." And this was the very first track on that album... Needless to say, no one was scared anymore, and the band has 488,158 monthly listeners on Spotify <3 And though I'll always enjoy Tolkki's lyrics, Timo Kotipelto is not only a tremendous singer, but his sensitive soul is more than just for his voice, but his words as well... Love that man <3
