and therein lies the problem. instead of treating kpop as just another genre of music, i (along with toms of other fans) treat it as something greater. something to get into, obsessively. and then get out of, when we burn out.

the industry's built this was tbh imo, encouraging fans to go in all deep, buy into the gf/bf image, spend all their money on them (which anyway all goes to the company). and then who loses? and who wins?
