It's weird for me because I went to predominantly black schools. So, when talking about black history came up, they'd all look back at me like I'm the one responsible for all the horrible things. And assumed my family was like those colonizers. Well mostly when I was in Elementary before I moved schools. But because of stuff like that it always made me dislike black history simply because of the way people would look at me and talk about me like I'm one of those people. That's why I get super pissed when poc or black people in general assume when I talk about the whole racism thing and try to defend those who aren't actually doing any wrong but are ostracized for it that I grew up self-titled and in a wealthy white neighborhood. When in reality I grew up in poverty in a place that was once and could still be considered the "hood". Like they don't know me or who I am or how I grew up. I effing hate those people. A lot of it is because of systemic racism and how it's made everyone think any white person who mentions anything about black culture or racism is being racist or w.e.

And it wasn't just years ago I literally mentioned that it still happens that it's a case of judging a book by it's cover. I literally don't want to make it sound like I'm complaining about stuff like that. I'm just saying that I have also witnessed systemic racism and that it is too common. And it's mostly America that has so much racism. I strongly believe racism was created in America.
