For a developing country that is absurd. At least it was speedy for that price. Every African I know has to go through hell and back twice just renew their exisiting passport. We paid $165 plus fees back in 2017 to get my mom and I one. I'm going to be using it until it expires and if I'm in Japan then I'll just stay until I can get a Japanese passport lol.
