i think I told you this, but you get points through trophies. trophies function similarly to video game achievements. You can get trophies for making a lot of threads, reacting to a lot of people, following a lot of users etc. Just generally being active will help you rack up trophies which will turn into points.

Points can be used to buy aesthetic things like avatar frames and animated badges.

static badges however, don't take points. to get a static badge, you basically rely on post count. Like, every 200 posts, you can get a new badge.

however, name changes on here don't cost anything. You can basically change your name to whenever you want to whatever you want (as long as it isn't taken). There is a slight time limit in which if you've recently changed your name, you have to wait 60 days to change it again.
