i know that's ludicrous but people genuinely say male artists make songs that very obviously seem to (romantically/sexually) be about men for their straight female fans to sing along to...

anyway some bg songs about being in love with women just resonate with me idk. and when i'm singing along i always emphasise the female terms

that said i do also often change the lyrics of songs by female artists i like to make the songs gay. like it's "GIRL i fall in love with you" not boy!!!

exactly!! it's refreshing but also so important given how lack of boundaries in the entertainment industry can have awful results. i really hope young artists follow with similar attitude because there's been enough female artists who have gone through shit in their careers but only had their stories heard once their careers or lives reached a tragic end.
