STOP ME TOOO i grew up (well i'm still growing up) w the anime and manga and cards and games

fun!! i grew up primarily with the DS/3DS games and DPPt anime series, but my brother recently got me into TCG collecting as well i don't go crazy buying packs or anything like that, but it's nice to have cards of mons and characters you're a fan of interestingly enough this doesn't translate into me being a photocard collector xd my favs are piplup and alcremie!!

I might leave this site after the next emoji submission event which I think was planned for December, it would be a shame to waste the ones I've been preparing since the last one and it'd give me some time to know for sure what I want to do. I'm just not able to connect with people they way I was hoping and I will have given it almost a year by then.
I feel like most of the time when I've taken initiative to engage with someone I've been ignored or shut down. I'm not blaming anyone else for it, maybe I'm doing something wrong or maybe they just aren't comfortable with my age and gender or the way I talk but I did come here to make friends with a mutual interest and have real conversations about it and I'm not getting that.

There's nice people on here and I've enjoyed some of the casual interactions but man do I feel like I'm third wheeling it most of the time.. Anyway, just something I've been thinking about for a while, I even took a break already where I wasn't sure if I'd come back (not that anyone noticed) and just like then i'll probably donate all my points to someone I like and go quietly.

for what it's worth, i would hope you wouldn't leave the site completely-- it does make me sad to see users just drop off the face of the community true that this site isn't quite meant for the in-depth conversation some might want, but even then i think there's something comfortable about the casual aspect; it's nice just to have a circle of familiar users to interact and be friendly with, even if only every-so-often. i feel like things like that are becoming rarer online these days.

obvs that's just my take on it, and i can't make your decisions for you, so if you feel like the platform isn't meeting your needs then ultimately you need to do what you feel is best for yourself (don't succumb to the sunk-cost fallacy lol)
