Question for people who understand color theory (1 Viewer)

Say i have orange red and i want to create red from it. Would it work if i mixed in a small amount of blue paint to cancel out the orange and get the red? Just wondering

I believe once its a secondary color, you cant go back to the primary color
if you add blue it will become violetish or brown, depending if its more red or orange

But also I will say that you can get primary colors from secondary by adding another color when it comes to light. But my understanding is that paint doesn’t work the way light does, and because of how it works it can’t change into a primary color. So my guess it that with paint it’s probably impossible
