What's a kpop concert like compared to other artist's concerts? I know the usual stuff about lightsticks, but how is the wait, the view from different seats, which seats are best to take if you can, what songs did your fave sing and what was in between sets? Any dissapointments, recommendations and advice ?
Btw i'm not going anywhere, i'm in Europe DUH, just curious and jealous!

there's no opener, it's just whoever you're going to see, and it's usually like three hours long and they start with the titles instead of saving them for last.

oh three hour seems plenty... altho if it's a unique opportunity
well, if you think about it, that's about the length of a regular concert including the openers. But the one I went to (Monsta X) was also very loud and chaotic. It was fun, but I have congenital hearing loss and so had to leave early to prevent total deafness.

The wait sucked. For NCT 127 I arrived later and it was a slow af line and then I got told I couldn’t take my backpack and had to go check it in where I got to wait in a shorter but still long line and I finally got in but by that point it was 30 minutes into the concert :wimwim: on top of that all it was raining slightly, but enough to be annoying. For Itzy I arrived super early and had little entertainment while waiting because my phone likes dying quickly. But I wasn’t late at least. And because I was so early it was quick enough to get in.
The NCT concert view was much worse than the Itzy one but the Itzy venue was also much much smaller than the NCT one. I wouldn’t complain about either though.
For seats I always just take the cheapest. I’m happy enough there and don’t want to get poor from concerts. :haylul:
They sang all kinds of songs. Titles, bsides, unreleased ones, covers, ect. In between there was a vcr or two, otherwise I think it mostly got broken up with rest time for members by having members do solo stages.

1. I've never gone to not a KPOP concert so I have no clue what those are like but KPOP concerts have always made me feel safe and welcome.
2. Long waits, get there early and you'll be perfectly fine. Sometimes you can snipe in the door and cut people off (lol) and that's what I do!

3. I always choose seats in the first 1-3 rows of sections and I usually pick the cheapest tickets and the seats nearest to the aisle. In order to beat traffic home, I normally leave concerts early (during the finale or just before).

4. I've been to quite a few and still have quite a few to attend this year but so far my favorite experiences have been SEVENTEEN, BLACKPINK, and NCT 127 would've been better if they jacked up the audio during the sticker intro but instead it was very quiet and I couldn't recognize the song by the sound (obviously the yeehaw set and the choreo was a giveaway).

5. In between sets are usually VCR's but since some groups like SVT/127 have many members and many stages with different member combinations there was not a lot of time where the artist was not actively on stage performing. There were more VCR's when I attended NCT Dream than when I attended NCT 127.

6. I recommend going with another person or multiple because that way if you make it into the venue at a later time and have to a. wait in a long line for the bathroom and also b. wait in a long line for merch you're going to want to take turns! Have someone get all the merch while the others pee and pay one anther later, this is big if you want to make it into the venue on time. For Dream I made it into the venue during the middle of the first song which was way too close for comfort for me. For BLACKPINK I waited outside for 1.5 hours in the merch line and then had to wait in my car for 4 more hours before the venue doors opened. Another advice I'd have is that if you dress up for the concerts (I do) you're going to want to take your outfit photos before the day of the concert. Go stand in your yard or sth and take those pictures!! When I was cutting it close for Dream's concert I never got to take a photo beforehand and still haven't and I feel sad that I don't have that photo to look back on to reminisce on the experience. To be honest I have so much advice for people going to concerts so if you ever need anything don't hesitate to reach out. I've gone to numerous both with others and alone and I feel I'm quite skilled at it by now :D

Maybe the did start later already, not sure when exactly they began. I just know that when I walked it they were half done with Cherry Bomb, and I know Cherry Bomb wasn’t the first one on the set list. :catcry:
