So so so many languages use a form of “etaj” for floor/story. Some as the primary word and some as the secondary, but it’s a chonker of a list (only European countries though). Here’s a list of the ones I know of.

Use it as main/co-main
French: étage
German: Etage
Danish: etage
Norwegian: etasje
Swedish: etage
Romanian: etaj
Luxembourgish: Etage (used similarly to German)
Russian: этаж (etazh)
Bulgarian: етаж (etazh)

Use as secondary or specific context
Italian: “piano” (though less commonly, “étage” can be used in specific contexts, especially in architectural terms).
Portuguese: “andar” (though the term “etágio” can be seen, it’s not common).
Spanish: “planta” or “piso” (the French influence led to “etage” in certain architectural or technical contexts, but it is rare).
Ukrainian: поверх (povérkh) (less common: “етаж” from French)
Serbian: спрат (sprat) or етаж (etazh, in some contexts)
Belarusian: паверх (paverkh) or этаж (etazh) in Russian contexts
Macedonian: кат (kat) or етаж (etazh)

we do use quite some English and french loanwords, especially in flemish
technically it's correct but it's hardly used nowadays

Vix, "planta" is the Spanish for "plant"... just "piso" is floor/story

From the quick googling I’ve done, it sounds like planta tends to be more commonly used in Spain for floor, while piso would be seen in Latin American for floor. It means plant too, but also floor. So I’ll keep that as both because they both seem to be used often as floor, depending on the area
