Yes another metro thread. Dw only a couple more after this These aren’t all the pretty metro stations I saw and photographed, but it’s some of the prettiest imo. The list would just be too long with all.

And it’s a station that has multiple stations in the same building and they all look pretty A lot of pretty stations have a pretty section and then you go to another station in that building and it’s boring, or worse, gives high school bathroom vibes. Park Kultury I’m looking at you

The Moscow metro system is great (though I’ve heard the St. Petersburg ones are too, and that some former Soviet countries have great ones too). It’s also well designed, very functional, affordable, and runs very regularly. Like my grandpa said there was a long delay once when we were in the metro because it had been 3 minutes since we entered and a train on our side had yet to enter, they’re so regular that 3 minutes is a weirdly long delay apparently. None of the US ones I’ve been to can compare beauty or functionality wise, I used one a grand total of one time and had to sit for 15 minutes on a non moving train because there was apparently a disabled train on the tracks at the next station. Could be coincidence but that metro has a bad reputation in general. Moscow has some downsides for sure, but the metro station is a standout. The one thing is it’s hard to get tickets or reload your card if you don’t speak Russian. I do speak Russian but I’m a very slow reader in Russian and there’s a lot of worlds on the screen and the screen disappears quickly and I’m like How do I do this. But I managed

For Park Kultury I heard that it was pretty and the first time I arrived there I was like where? White dirty tiles? That’s pretty? But then another time we transferred to the brown line and I understood. It wasn’t pretty enough to make this list but it was pretty. Definitely more so that Park Kultury on the line I took the first time.
