Like, no you did not gain 10 lbs of fat from Thanksgiving. You would have to consume an absurd amount of calories for that to be possible. It's food sitting in your belly, it'll pass.

No, the gym is not punishment for eating. It's fun to be strong! And capable! And to do cool things! Your body is made to move, but the gym is not a place to hate yourself thin.

It's so toxic and soul sucking.

I gained weight at guide dog school (yes, I used to have a guide dog) bc they had unlimited desserts… but even then, it was over a span of like three weeks. Those people were being real drama queens/kings. It’s just one day, for crying out loud!

I'm not trying to, but when I'm scrolling through insta or reddit and seeing picture after picture of someone's scale, like it's there even without going into the specifics of their complaint.

I always feel like there's no point in weighing after a heavier than usual eating day, especially with food I don't know what's in it exactly. Be kind to yourself, friend.

I heard of a cheerleading gym one year saying that flyers (the ones who are lifted and tossed) are limited to one plate a year for thanksgiving. Thankfully it got backlash. Though if I was them I’d just take a massive salad bowl and be like “yeah this is one plate”

Depressing. I don't come across those, but I know they're common around this time. Fatphobia persists :/
Glad I don't worry about these sorts of things. I was already fat the day before!
