Reflecting on the year, how was 2024 for you? (1 Viewer)

I had some highlights and lowlights, but I've solidified a lot of friendships, read a lot of good books, had some cool adventures, and tried some new things, so I'm feeling pretty good about the year behind and the year ahead.

I fulfilled my dream of traveling to Japan, so this was a highlight for sure

I'm hoping I get to travel more next year too. I did some local road tripping, but I want to have an experience outside the country. I've been thinking of seeing if a local company does their group travel for the monarch migration again. I saw pictures from it last year and it looked magical.

I'm ready for the new year. Nothing particularly amazing happened this year for me.

Nov - Dec I lost my grandma and then tia a week apart. November was already hard to deal with and now my family has deemed it the most cursed month because last Nov my abuelita passed away. I felt broken for a while but we're getting back up. My grandma lived with us when I was still living with my parents. She raised me and taught me not to deal with anyone's bullshit. She was a pillar in my family.
The last two years I've dealt with a lot of death. I hope 2025 is a proper year of healing.

I'm going into 2025 getting ready for a family friend's wedding in Mexico, then my best friend's wedding , then maybe a Hawaii trip or something with just my mom and I.

And can someone find me a hot rich man who owns a vineyard so I can have my own wedding.

My year started off like shit bc I didn't have my life together at all. But then I started going to church at the recommendation of my physical trainer who goes a lot, and honestly, it's helped me through that rough patch, and my year is ending on a high note! I just need to move out of my crappy apartment and get a cat, and then I'll be golden!

This year has been a busy year for me and big changes with getting married, being pregnant and moving.

No matter how I look at it, this year was a shit to me. Even the last days of December got me unexpected things.
So, I have high hopes for 2025, it must be better!

The first half of the year was pretty crap to say the least. A cat I adopted suddenly had to be put down at the end of January earlier this year. Then my own cat died on valentines day this year. He was diagnosed with water in his lungs, and had to take medication and he managed to live 6 more months even tho the vet had given him just a few months. Then right before summer started I got dumped after 3 years like I am filth. That is pretty much my 2024.

The first half was pretty low for me, but overall I'm happy what this year brought me! I have an amazing feeling about 2025
