It's official: their instagrams have been updated to add the new group name on them. @VLIGHTS

The name is neither here nor there, but the logo is cute.

I hope this rebrand is as successful for them as Minx into Dreamcatcher was.

Agreed. 100% JYPE apparently drove a girl to attempt suicide, lied, recorded underage girls with out their and their parents knowledge and consent and their answer is to pretend none of it happened. Not even remotely ok...

The recording thing definitely didn't happen. The alarm system has a camera that takes a picture in the event that the alarm is triggered. JYPE staff and contractors have claimed (under penalty of perjury) that they weren't even aware of this. One of them found it out later on. The alarm was never triggered. They bought the system from ADT, and provided to the court the order which does not show any camera system.

The other stuff we don't know about, but we also know for a fact that JYPE offered KG the opportunity to leave the group without paying a termination fee. This was done through attorneys, before KG initiated legal proceedings.

Kaylee claims to have left on good terms and says that we should support the remaining members. The other members' friends and family seem positive about the group.

To be clear, there were other allegations (being forced to work while injured, pressured to train long hours, etc.) that I don't think have been rebutted yet.
But the two things I said were presented in court with documentation. We can be reasonably sure that they are true because there is evidence from third parties.

When this all started, people said that California labour laws are very strict and that JYPE would not get away with breaking them. I don't know if that's true or not. Should we take whatever the final verdict is as the final word? I don't know.

Maybe JYPE should have waited for a verdict before proceeding? That would have allowed them to talk about this properly (whichever way the verdict went) before the redebut.

100% true, California does not mess around. Especially with child labor laws.
