if dream continues to promote in china at the same time as wayv does, i'll relent, but i don't see it happening. and if chenle and renjun do go into wayv, they'll concentrate on promoting just wayv in china. if nct 127 keeps promoting in japan, they're not going to create another unit with possible repeat members to promote in japan too. that's creating competition with themselves and dividing focus when its unnecessary. nct 127 performing in sea countries isn't really the same as them promoting there. they're not going to release sea-language songs.

anyway sm always talks big. we shouldn't trust their half hearted promises
but isnt that the goal with nct? to release sea-language songs and basically have a pop group designed for each country like akb48 and their sister groups? i can see it happening since sm is the company that does new concepts and ideas before everyone else. people said snsd, suju was impossible with so many members and yet every single group follows the same formula now.

They are making more units you do realise this...
plus he could enter NCT U
[this is just the global units so not including more korean units etc as you see dream or u isnt on this slide]

NCT U is the worse place to go to be honest. It's under-promoted and it seems like SM just puts the boys in there so they just have a unit to belong to. But U releases music once a year and the members that were solely in that unit didn't promote at all until they joined WayV.

I feel like they might not even add Chenle at this point. Was WayV another unit that's rotational? I feel like SM is trying hard to make WayV a hit and adding and removing members might compromise that. Besides, Chenle still has a while before he graduates from Dream. So eitherr SM will make another Chinese unit and add them to that or they'll make another unit with the current Dream members and promote them as a team with a new name. They want to keep Dream as the minors team but the current Dream members are so popular as a group so it would be crazy for SM to separate them.

I just looked up Chenle's age and he's already 17.. That means Jisung is 17 too now... OMG kids seriously grow up so fast!

I think it's a little different when we're talking about Japan though because their fan culture is crazy and they're used to groups with concepts like NCT's.

i think if wayv is doing better than expected. china-korea is still tense with each other from the THAAD issue and giving them a remake of a song with 2 versions was definitely not a great idea. but we dont know how they actually did in china since most if their content is private or restricted. people say lay, kris or vic are flops when they have no idea about the amount of weibo followers they have. sm will probably find some other unit for renjun to join. isnt sm making them the male version of akb48?
heres there weibo and 2 other groups i could do to compare [i couldnt think of any others tfboys have there own app not downloadin]
and i think they are making them a male version of akb48 but im happy if they do but do it proper not getting rid of members like they do etc

The 00 line will graduate at the end of this year, Chenle at the end of 2020 and Jisung at the end of 2021 unless SM decides to graduate them earlier.

the reason i think they're going to just concentrate on two (or maybe three) groups promoting in multiple countries each as opposed to several groups focusing on one country is because of the direction nct 127 is going. sm seemed like they didn't know what to do with them. they created a korean unit but treated them like any other korean group under them. they're not going to just be the korean unit anymore, they're going to promote in several countries. i think they're going to do the same with wayv now. and then on top of everything they separated wayv and nct 127, saying these groups had different fandoms even though they're supposed to be one nct. maybe they will do other units, idk, i don't see it happening because sm seems to just be throwing anything at the wall and hoping something sticks.

Yeah i agree i forgot to add this part that alot fans dont want them to break up even though there nothing they can do about mark and haechan i see sm keeping them togther
as it funny how since haechan is now back in action he isnt in dream anymore
i honnestly could see all nct dream 5 starting of a whole new unit for korea

ah i see. it definitely makes sense. the reason why wayv is seperated from the rest of the fandom is probably cause of staying off china's hallyu ban radar. i mean sm did open a whole another label just for them to find a loophole.

nct u is such a useless unit tbh. sm doesnt even promote them and most of the members are in nct 127 anyway. i guess you cant just wipe a whole group out of existence but its such a waste. :nayeonisdone:

that's true but i still wonder if wayv is still even considered nct china to them. they have yet to say whether the new members are part of nct or not. i don't see why they wouldn't reveal this since winwin, lucas, ten, and kun are all confirmed.

i don't think nct u was supposed to be a unit tho. it's just the name they use if they want to group off nct members but not permanently. i wish they'd bring that kind of project back!

I think the point of promoting NCT 127 overseas is to help build up the brand power of NCT as a whole so that when brother groups do eventually debut, they'll have more anticipation and hype built around them... plus WayV had to be marketed differently to the other NCT units for political reasons and that won't be a problem for future units.

NCT U isn't a regular unit though, the whole point of it is that we get to see combinations of members that we wouldn't get to see otherwise...

I class it as the unit what will be amazing when we have more fixed units
as dream is a rotational unit they dont enter nct u i guess
and wayv wont enter u due to political stuff [exception of nct members]
so it will be more impactful when we have other versions of 127

I think both Renjun and Chenle will end up joining WayV and don't kill me everyone but I think Jeno, Jaemin and Jisung will joining NCT 127 at some point too.

Btw NCT U isn't even a 'real' unit in the sense they aren't like NCT 127, NCT Dream or WayV. If you notice NCT U never released albums before or have any official social media acc and no, that's not because SM underpromotes them. It was supposed to be like this from the get go. It's basically a NCT station where all different members can collab together and comes handy when NCT as whole make a full comeback like last year.

I think that Jeno Jaemin and Jisung will be the starting members of a new unit tbh

I think 2/3 people will join them with possible chenle and renjun even if they go in wayv also

So there be a NCT 129 {busan}/{Ulsan} 128{daegu} 126{incheon} etc
