I'm doing my annual required training, and the questions are like:
Bob is an older gentleman and may retire in the next few years. He is the most qualified candidate. What should you do?
A. Hire him as the most qualified candidate
B. Tell him he's a geezer and should just retire already

What is even the point of these questions?? Even an idiot could pass this.

Double funny that the quiz questions are geared toward people in roles I don't have. I have no influence on hiring, lol.

I would say that depends...

from a corporate hiring pov - how much will it cost to hire bob vs training and developing a new person
the cost of hiring bob is obviously higher than a newbie and obviously bob has more entrenched benefits
does the additional benefits that bob brings outweigh the costs associated

Ugh i had to do like these “online classes” for work which were short things of like videos and quizes of a lot of shit that is prolly irrelevant to me or I won’t remember last week. What a waste of time.

but i finished them quickly and have been learning what I need to learn on the floor so that’s good. It’s a lot of hands on work which is less dreadful then being stuck in lecture….
