Quick rundown here, RESCENE is a rookie girl group, 2 of the members are young Zena is 16-17 and May is 18. There's this small little channel that follows the idol group around they call it 'Idol Backstage' but it's technically more of a behind-the-scenes personal vlog type of deal. There's some vulnerable moments you don't get to see. It's quite intriguing honestly.
With that out of the way, their latest YouTube episode... well it's something. The video is basically RESCENE speaking with their managing agency about changes they would like to see as well as criticisms. Everything seems rather casual, members laugh here and there, they joke around with their manager and such. But the actual content they're speaking about is something that requires attention....
You see, their diet is being restricted by the agency. That's nothing new, the industry loves doing that. I'm totally against it but it is what it is. But apparently, someone in the group got caught sneaking in snacks and/or extra food when they're not supposed to. And their agencies response to this? let's just uninstall all of their bedroom doors in their own dorms.

Yeah you heard that right. Their agency admits to taking out all of the doors into their dorms. A complete breach of personal privacy. SO the members are literally negotiating with their agency to get them installed again!!!
I mean I'm frustrated just watching it myself, but the scary part about this is that this whole video is like eerily comedic? Maybe the members are legit frustrated but don't wanna show it in front of the camera? But it feels like an everyday thing here, like yeah lemme just take out your doors because you decided to eat an extra pack of ramen?? If you win first place maybe we'll install them back again? I mean hello?? Like are we not treating them as human beings?
On top of this they have no access to personal phones at times. They are forced to use a company phone for outgoing calls, this has led to the members being "left out" with trending topics since they can't follow the trends on their phones, amongst other things. Imagine the teen members not using their phones? I legit think they would go crazy.
Woni is the oldest member and team captain on RESCENE and you can see how quiet she is in this video (she's the one all in white, black cap). She actually decides to not take the lead herself and ask another member to do it. In my mind, I think she knows that all of this is wrong but because public image is so precious here, she's not gonna say much.
