Honestly promoting in Korea is huge boost for them... not to be necessarily be successful in Korea, but for the eyes of kpop fans. International kpop fans watch music shows. They pay attention to kpop news. They engage with artists in ways they don't or aren't able to when it comes to jpop. It just boosts their visibility and gives them the potential to grow their fandom base.
