SBS’s “Running Man” has made its audience message board private to protect their cast members.

On June 9, an announcement was posted on the official “Running Man” website. It stated, “Due to malicious comments like indiscriminate verbal abuse, excessive slander, and impersonation of cast members, the audience message board will no longer be made public. We ask for the audience’s understanding on this issue.”

Many TV programs in South Korea have audience message boards on their websites, in which viewers can leave comments, discuss episodes with each other, and communicate with the production staff and cast members. These spaces can often be a place to express legitimate criticism of the show, but in cases of excessive hate comments, it can cause harm to the cast members. In a related incident, cast member Jun So Min recently spoke out against someone impersonating her in the “Running Man” group chat.

“Running Man” airs every Sunday at 5 p.m. KST.

What's up with people being so rude. If you don't like something or someone, there are ways to say it without being disrespectful or even as easy as to stop watching.

A way of closer direct interaction with Running Man/cast/production m their genuine fans/viewers is shut bcos of some rotten h8rs/ppl who r rude. I like the show but came way late after the cast change n started watching from the beginning as well.

But the ppl who hated the new cast members n the old cast members were so surprising to me. 2 opposite views diametrically opposed were so outspoken. To me, just enjoy the show for wat it is n if u limed it b4 but it doesnt grab u anymore- maybe complain once then let go. But it seems some ppl want the show to be unchanging, wanting it 2 b as it was when it was most popular. But after 4-5 yrs, the cast gets older n more injury prone on such a show. So older cast wd slow down, but then new cast dint get approval either.

At least now, i think its mostly leveled off but maybe i just see it less. Recent hiatus of Kwang Soo n So Min at least i never noticed anything but well wishes. Jong Kook also injured himself too. I hope the show lasts longer n only ends when tbey hv done everything they think they can like Infinite Challenge n Family Outing ended after a long run.
