Controversy is bit stupid, it's not like your everyone's own country doesn't have any immigrant singers. Why be xenophobic for koreans behalf?
She seems talented enough, but i'd guess she would have easier time within group than debuting as solo act. The song itself is bit plain and generic to me, not catchy enough.
She has been trained by a Korean company so yeah for me she does belong to Kpop. Kpop is an industry made in Korea and she trained there. According to a youtuber that I know and who lives in Korea, her Korean is pretty good. The people who are saying the contrary can’t speak one word of it anyways. Her vocals seems fine and her dance is not outstanding but I think that it’s decent for an idol.
