That was the main reason, he was also accused of smoking (eating in a family restaurant with alcohol pictured behind him) and dissing another idol on a private livestream (this was false but it did become a big issue until it was debunked)

To be honest I bet they take more issue with the smoking as it's related to Iljin behaviour which is actually quite bad to be associated with in Korea. I will say I wonder how many saw it was actually debunked as unfortunately the initial story tends to be the biggest so everything after usually misses people other parts hit.

This! How could an idol(who's still in Riize) in future hold fanmeetings/perform concerts or music shows when they might face one of those who sent death wreaths to yr former team mate. This is beyond calling for Chen to depart the group for marrying and having a child(-dren?)! And how would future trainees/debutee idols in SM even contemplate fan-service to potential fans?

SMEnt/LSM rlly f*cked up future kpop by importing fan-service-y stuff from Japanese gg idol groups - it's bad enough (historically speaking, relatively n in specific circumstances) but I can't recall male idols in Japanbeing subject to such attitudes, maybe because girls/women in Japan aren't marketed to the same way(well, there's butler cafes n such like but....)

Im also: n I don't stan any male kpop idols(some like ONEWE/N.Flying/NELL who are musician/kpop idols or adjacent-ish) but tats all.
