SEVENTEEN has proven its formidable influence in Asia’s live music market, ranking No. 1 on a chart of the region’s top touring artists.
U.S.-based music industry publication 'Pollstar' recently released its 'Asia Focus Charts: Top Touring Artists,' which ranks artists based on tour revenue generated across Asia. The chart covers the period from August 1 of last year through July 31 of this year.
SEVENTEEN claimed the top spot with tour revenue totaling 97,394,004 USD (approximately 130 billion KRW).
The group launched its world tour 'NEW_' in Incheon in September last year. Since then, they have performed at major stadiums in Hong Kong, Singapore, Bangkok, and Bulacan.
Notably, SEVENTEEN returned to Kai Tak Stadium, Hong Kong's largest stadium, becoming the first K-pop act to sell out all four of its concerts at the venue.
The group also performed at Vantelin Dome Nagoya, Kyocera Dome Osaka, Tokyo Dome, and Mizuho PayPay Dome Fukuoka, holding a total of 22 large-scale concerts.
Their fan meetings have also drawn impressive crowds. Between May and June, SEVENTEEN held fan meetings at two Japanese dome venues and a venue in South Korea, attracting approximately 230,000 fans.
SEVENTEEN's momentum has extended to unit and solo activities. Jeonghan and Joshua are currently holding their 'DREAMING' tour across six cities in South Korea.
Meanwhile, Hoshi, Woozi, Vernon, Mingyu, and Dokyeom, who are currently serving in the military, have continued to showcase their versatility through various unit activities. Dino, who is scheduled to enlist later this month, has also been active as a solo artist.
Other K-pop acts featured on the chart include TWICE at No. 2, TXT at No. 3, and BTS at No. 4.
