As a new season begins, I’ve felt a small but meaningful change in my heart.
After a lot of thought, I’m starting a new chapter with SM C&C.

Thank you for supporting me from my trainee days until now.
During the moments when things were difficult and I felt like giving up,

So official confirmation that SM's trot group is DOA. I saw a comment on reddit that the members themselves never seemed to have an explanation for why the debut never happened.

But SME must really believe in Shohei to still be holding onto him. Hopefully being under C&C will bode well for him.

Yes, they had two predebut shows. One of them, Lovestruck Noonas, was a nine-episode predebut show that ended with a concert that included the members' families being flown in from Japan and China to join their fans in the audience. (Which is just my opinion, but that's kind of garbage to do to the members and their families to then just not actually pull the trigger.)

The show featured 10 different songs by the group, including Bomb Bomb Bomb, which they also promoted elsewhere.

I definitely think they could have carved out their own niche! And exposed a lot of Kpop/idol fans to a genre that's popular in Korea and not really represented anywhere else.
