2. Are they a K-POP group? Are they a J-POP group?

To tell you about the question, Born in the United States and
grew up in Korea and Japan, XG was fostered and produced in
Korea and Japan in a new way based on two activities and
experiences of artists and producers in the K-pop scene, and in
the process, multinational staff from Korea, Japan, the United
States, and China are participating in our project.

All XG artists are Japanese, but we want to show XG's music and
performance to more people around the world without prejudice
and regulations about regions, languages, etc. Since there was
no previous case in the team, we think it may look a little
unfamiliar.

In the future, we will work harder to convey the true essence of
XG by showing our unique color and diversity step by step.
Furthermore, we will continue to value domestic (Korea)
activities and become artists and companies that can have a
positive impact on the global pop scene, including Korea.

3. Many people are asking why we don't write Korean lyrics while
promoting in Korea.

We think that Korea's cultural industry has not only grown
tremendously in the global market over the past few years, but it
is also the most intense and high-quality market in the world.

Since 2017, when I started producing as a person who I thought I
had been directly involved in and helped with for many years, we
have been fiercely preparing for production and music activities in
this competitive Korean market.

Regarding the singing language, our biggest goal is to introduce
XG music to the global market, so we are delivering the message
of our music based on English, the most widely used language
around the world.

Various contents communicate with fans in Korean songs and
Korean, and we are preparing more contents to reach fans in
various languages including Korean as well as English.

I'd take it as just that if it hadn't stated "korean songs" beforehand mentioning content in general. So whether it'll be covers, or actual korean mixed tracks, it looks to be that's whats being implied with content.

i just re read that part, somehow skipped over the word song, i'm a 🤡 - just makes me wonder if it'll be Korean titles then or just as bside - since they want to maintain the international feel I'd think it's mostly going to be b-sides maybe

They can do the opposite of what Korean artists are doing by keeping their main releases english and release Korean singles here and there

Doesn’t seem they are that interested in promoting in Japan or making Japanese songs… doesn’t mean it can’t happen, but it would probably be later down the line if it happens and wouldn’t be there main focus ofc.

Yeah, def believe the English tracks will remain the forefront and focus. A mixed album would be super cool with the bsides like you said, I’d be all here for it

Which is a shame because j-fans are very supportive of them already along with I-fans. They could easily have their core fan base there, people really adore their talent and music already.

I'm also sure the members would love to sing in their native language and promote at home at well. Hopefully things like that will be an opportunity in the future.
