If you read the tweet it says this is not a project and has comebacks already planned versus SM The Ballad which had 1 comeback 4 years after the debut and the Yoonique unit which had 0 so if this group already has a comeback planned then it's not the same as before and this has longer term plans.

So it'd be more like the plans for ToHeart (RIP gone too soon). They aren't leaving their groups just doing activities every once in a while. Younique had plans for a comeback as well but they didn't see it through which is probably what will happen with this group lol.

It sounds like a project group even if they haven't titled it as such

i've been trying to figure this out all day and part of me doesn't want to know....but curiosity is too strong: who are the ugly ones?!?!?

I saw a tweet that was talking about how SM is making this group to not go bankrupt and that's really bad.. and I was like WTF?

They aren't going to go bankrupt but Lee Sooman was up to his money grubbing crap again and they had something like a subsidy business that they were feeding money into but the business didn't actually do anything it was just him and his fam funneling money or something. Anywho, the government found out and so did shareholders and they demanded that it be proven the business does something or shut it down but Lee Sooman and SM were like NOPE and are keeping the business open which is leading to issues.

This group most likely is a money grab to get shareholders to stay and make the public/fans forget but at least they aren't using Red Velvet or EXO to cover up stuff again 😂

Also, i'm excited because I love group interactions like this.

I don't see what's bad about this tbh. Yeah it's a cash grab but what isn't a cash grab in KPOP? This is a way for these guys to participate in songs that they won't really get to do in their original groups and if it's like one or two comebacks a year then it's fine? It keeps the fans well fed and you have that SMTown interaction that people crave. Baekhyun, Taemin and Kai are about to enlist anyway so it's not like this will be a long term thing.

About Younique Unit, I think they didn't have a comeback because the deal with PYL/Hyundai isn't a thing anymore. People seem to forget that BoA and Jessica had songs under the PYL/Younique Brand too lol
