It wasn't necessarily a mess up on just one of us. It was on both parts but both of us were really hurt and I didn't know how to handle it but then they tried reaching out to me and yeah I cried tears of relief.

I've messed up a lot of times in the past as well and I'm so thankful that I have friends who still support me despite my mistakes.

i really wish this would happen with me and my old friend who i grew distant from after i messed up. we still greet each other when we cross paths because she doesn't hold what i did against me (probably because we were only kids when it happened lol, like 11 years old) but i'd love it if we could become friends again.

i just feel a bit awkward to contact her out of nowhere and bring something from like 6 years ago up. it's been a while and, during middle school, there was an uncomfortable stage where she was super mean to me for no reason. i think we've both changed for the better which is nice but there's always some awkward tension in the air when we're around each other. besides, school just ended and we're going to university soon so maybe it's time to leave this behind.

your story is definitely making me want to talk it over with her at least once though. maybe one day i'll gain the courage for it
