I don't know but I saw a tweet of an Indian woman who got attacked by a racist white woman via emailand she started off her thread with "White people are so subtly racist". Maybe it's that?
Her response was great tho but I think it's similar to that.
People legit think all white people are racist, something I am ashamed for and fight for everybody to get the same treatment.
I've been called a racist solely because I'm white (You're white? Then you're a racist)

People who aren't white have been treated horribly during the history of mankind, but nowadays people are legit saying "it's ok to be racist to white people cuz they did it to us in the XXXXs" (idk how old you were but I wasn't around back then).
Mostly, racist things towards white people are just "oh it's a generalization you aren't going through the same thing POC go through" whilst things against POC, people are so sensitive about.

To summarize: people today fight racism with racism and that's not ok. We should all strive to get equal treatment

The problem with the "learn from the past" concept is that most Americans are unaware of the things that have happened outside of slavery, the ramifications those actions have that still exist today and issues that still need addressing. Slavery, two MLK quotes, a thin understanding of Jim Crow and the Civil Rights act is essentially all that's in most curricula and makes up the bulk of what most people know. You can't move on if you don't truly understand. and most people don't want to understand Educating yourself and seeing the actual issues is the first step to progress.
Acknowledge the past, correct the present and constantly work towards a better future.
This mentality of "Slavery was xxx years ago, I had nothing to do with it, everything is fine now and I can't be inconvenienced with people telling me otherwise" is the biggest issue facing progress, not white people getting trolled on Twitter.

Again, I'm unaware of actual aggression and retaliation being aimed towards white people in the real world that's damaging or would be decisive. I see hatefulness on social media, but that can also be applied to every race, sex, gender, sexuality etc. Day to day how does this actually affect you? How much? How many people actually treat you differently?
I really don't understand and it sounds like people who don't understand actual oppression, trying to make themselves seem oppressed as of their issues are the same.

What solution do you propose though? Most people are not wanting inequality but if a person who does gets into a position where they can then influence other peoples lives with it then all that can really be done is removing them from that position and trying to find someone more suitable which certainly won't make them any less racist, if anything it'll make them more racist and they'll blame the race for losing their job.

I don't really know what others learned in school but we had entire sections of my courses dedicated to showing us how awful the mistreatment of African Americans were and Japanese, as well as Irish. I even when I was in elementary school had an entire course dedicated to learning about Native Americans and their culture and what American's did to them-including the trail of tears and more. I get entirely confused when people say nothing is taught about that rotten part of our history. Almost every history course I did was upfront about these atrocities.

Also as I said this thread isn't about saying white people are oppressed. So you can stop acting like it is about that. Saying people get mad over people saying its ok to be white isn't me saying they are oppressed. Why do you jump to that conclusion right away?

My point is that most people aren't after inequality and cases of racism nowadays are usually a problem of racist individuals getting into positions of power which they abuse.

This being a problem people acknowledge but no one really offers a solution for except not contributing towards it which people who don't want it to exist aren't going to do anyway.

Firing the employees is a pretty efficient way. Racial sensitivity classes are another but some companies don't wanna have to pay to teach their employees common sense

Firing can work but you have to prove their actions are from a racist motive which could be easier said than done especially with employment. The boss could easily make excuses for not hiring people while secretly they're just racist.

In cases of unfair hiring practices or racism in the workplace, it's usually lawsuits that resolve that. If they aren't hiring people based on race or only hiring them for specific jobs, the discrepancies tend to be there no matter how hard they try to hide it.
Since it's usually the company that has to foot the bill from that and loses a face from it, they tend to be open to revamping even if it's at a corporate scale, like Abercrombie and Fitch was

Being of mixed race, I don't know what it is to be white.
I only class myself as half white anyways.

But still. Race is of all different nationalities and colours.
Why just promote the one. Kind of thinking they are just out to annoy people and be dicks.

I haven't been on twitter in years, so this and anything else that comes out is news to me.
