A student I knew about had others call him Jim back in junior high/middle school because that's what he preferred, but his birth name was James.
But, Jim takes the cake since it only contains three letters.
Also, according to Wikipedia, it was one of the diminutives -- extremely or extra small names -- which included Jamie in the list.

Lastly, to those unfamiliar, Hollywood actor Jamie Foxx is not his real name, it's his stage name.
