So today my family went to get vaccinated (Against a disease spread by tics, I can't remember its name in english) with my family and it was hilarious!
First when we got there there was a long queue so we had to wait... This one family was getting vaccinated and oh my gosh! The son of the family who looked like he was around 10 actually fainted! At the same time the daughter of the family who looked about 4 was hitting the mother and screaming about how she doesn't want needles and doesn't want to get vaccinated and so on!
My little sister who is 7 got a bit spooked from that naturally... So when we went into the office to get the shots, she was understandably a bit scared. She was teling us how it will hurt and so on (We kept telling her it really doesn't) but when she actually got hers done he laughed! Well she laughed and said it hurt, but she still laughed. It was obvious she was just saying that because she felt embarrased over making such a big fuss over it before!
The thing with the family in hysterics over vaccinating... I feel like it is mostly the parents making the kids scared. The parents telling us how it will hurt but they will be brave and so on. I feel bad for the kids, even though I almost laughed out loud at the sight of them!
