I see people bash Wonyoung left and right for "acting pretty". I looked deep into some vlogs from her and idk what that means. Look pretty, I get that. Act pretty??? This might sound weird because she is getting negativity for it, but I also want to be associated with something like that. What does it exactly mean to act pretty????

i think they're implying she's careful to look ""feminine"" and photogenic, not break her smile and get hair in her face or whatever when she's throwing the ball. the people bashing her for this just seem pathetic and bitter. what's wrong with trying to look pretty on camera or even irl anyway? especially when you're being paid for it

Figured some might think that it's coming from Knetz and while it's true, I see plenty of English comments saying she acts pretty. Just this video that I posted, and multiple copies of the same video on instagram fanpages had international fans saying the same thing.
Anyway if it's true I really like the way she carries herself. I wish I could be more graceful like her.

Good point, it's really hard to make sure you look perfect all the time, kudos to anyone who can do that tbh. And I mean Wounyoung was cast on street, street casts are mainly due to looks. I hear female idols got scolded from their staff for not acting feminine (Gfriend's Yerin and SinB said that they were called out) so she is doing her job as an idol.

I think Soogi is right, if you watch that video you can see what they think “acting pretty” is in the first clip when you compare it to the second. There’s nothing wrong with it imo, but she does focus more on how she looks in the first it seems and she’s more careful to look photogenic at all times vs throwing the ball better like she did in the second. Again, nothing wrong with either imo, it’s just what I think the others mean.

I wonder if they feel like she’s trying too hard then if the comments are negative? Either way it’s sad that they feel it’s a problem, because I feel if she didn’t, she’d just get hate then too.

It never ends. Another instance of an idol not meeting fans' expectations and them bashing her. WTF??? She cannot win.
I bet if she was herself, maybe being hyper, loud, etc. aka. "crackhead energy," they won't approve of that, either.
The fans judging her for not properly acting pretty makes no sense. What is she supposed to do, then?

By the way, I think "acting pretty" means behaving properly and ladylike. So, the exact opposite of "crackhead energy."
