...I don't want to say mean, bc this person I'm about to refer to is usually a sweetheart, but yeah. Anyway, he was teasing me today about my K-pop fandom (not bullying, just light teasing), and he brought up Jungkook. Yanno what he said?

"Jungkook is the Korean Justin Timberlake"

He may have thought he was joking, but... man, that is NOT something you joke about, not in this former fandom-induced bullying victim's book!

There is a happy ending, though - I said, "Well, look who's still together (BTS) and who isn't (NSYNC)! And besides, Jungkook also doesn't beatbox like Justin does!" Then he apologized, and we went about our business like nothing happened.

Look on the bright side. Justin Timberlake is an incredible sing and producer! It's a really big compliment even if it wasn't mean that way. You also handled it in a very mature manner. Take it from a guy who might have moments where some might, in a small way, say I'm mean mean... I weirdly love it when people take the bull crap I say and turn it around against me. We still live in a world where people just don't get k-pop. We also sometimes forget idols and those who love them have feelings. @Horizonshard recently tore me a new one for saying something mean about Lia. Sometimes you just gotta call people out when they say things like that.
