And before anyone tries to get smart they were in the city when the bomb was dropped One person was given a special distinction for it though so l’ll tell his story. But there are somewhere up to 165 in total.

Basically he was at Hiroshima for work when the bomb was dropped. He was injured, but survived, and made his way to his hometown, which was Nagasaki. He went to the hospital there and got medical treatment. The person treating them was a former classmate, but because of the severity of burns, they didn’t recognize him. He was recounting what happened to Hiroshima when the second bomb was dropped. He and his family survived, though he experienced symptoms such as gangrenous wounds, hair loss, and vomiting. Pretty interesting, he was definitely unlucky given that for both bombs he was within a 2 mile radius of the center. Unsurprisingly, later in life he spoke out about the usage of atomic weapons. Can’t blame him.
