On the early morning of the Battle for Bunker Hill, several British ships were patrolling the area, but none fired at the colonial forces setting up for the battle. Except one. At around 4AM, a British ship began to fire at the Americans. However, this soon ended when Admiral Samuel Graves (on another ship) ordered the firing to stop, as he hadn’t ordered it and it had interrupted his sleep.

That’s pretty relatable though
