Every day, all day, it truly amazes me how everyone knows of the fact that no one is perfect and everyone makes mistakes yet 99% of people (that I come across at least) believe they are always right and know it all. Like, how? It doesn't ever even cross their mind that they maaaybe pssiblyyy somehowww could be... wrong? for once? just once? nope... must be nice being like that. Seriously, I know so many foolish people who can be much older than me yet they always twist everything into being the victim and never take resposibility for anything, much less apologize. Can anyone relate to my frustration? 🤔

Because we grow up in a dog-eat-dog competitive society which already starts in school. They literally teach us to show teeth. Most people dont want to admit their errors, because that would show weakness and who wants someone weak, private life or job... 😞 vicious circle

tbh i think that stems partially from our societal rejection of openness. you have to keep everything emotional inside or only let it out in a joking way. you can't give out a genuine sorry in public. you can't really admit fault. you have to keep it pent up. especially as a guy. there's this idea that fault and emotions are connected in one and since "the workplace isn't the place for feelings" it also isn't the place for fault. also the idea that you are replaceable places constant pressure to be right upon oneself.
add to that the fact that most people decide as to what they think for their life philosophy in their early adulthood or teens and you get a mix of societal pressures and habitual reinforcement of a singular ideal that builds up a wall that rejects the idea of even being false.
also a lot of people just hate being wrong and don't understand the importance of it and don't think critically because they were never raised to do so.
