the fact that most people (I think and I hope?) try to shield a child's innocence.. I just mean simple things like not allowing cursing in front of them or not letting them watch sex/violence on tv..... telling them beautiful fairy tales, trying to have them believe in magic as long as possible...... we are aware that it's hopeless, we know it's useless and that they will become "tainted" by this world and reality in the end anyway...... yet still, we always fight against the inevitable and continue to try to have them stay pure and keep what we couldn't........
