ik it says no music discussion but but its important to me
today I finally tried out for honors choir!! im so proud of myself for doing that because i was shaking so bad (which caused my voice to be pretty shaky, plus i couldnt get the piano so yeahh.. no backtrack LOL) but I actually sound better than I thought I did lol
I wish that i wasn't as shaky as I was but maybe one day I'll perform a song and hopefully I'm not shaky yk?? I hope I can get in tho

OMG congrats! That takes a lot of courage. I hope you make it in!
I'm currently in choir and I just love the culture though my favorite part is when we put it together, even if learning the pieces becomes monotonous.

Also, if your choirs have ever performed, have you ever experienced the thing where you're just so hyper-focused on the conductor and listening to your choir (for balancing) that you are almost in this trance-like state? Like you know what you're doing and are aware that you're performing but you just do it?

It's so hard to explain but it's so cool. How you have sort of an "on-switch" when you're performing versus that you don't always have on when you're just learning or practicing?

I'm a soprano/2nd soprano in ssa
sometimes it happens when I'm performing, like I get so focused
not really lol, whenever I perform sometimes I feel like I forgot everything lol

I dont know if I've gotten in yet, sometime this week I might know

and yeah, there is a regular choir too, honors is like a more advanced type of choir that you can try out for :))

never had choir down under but I do know they exist elsewhere in the world
never thought there be a regular and honours one...

btw if you don't make the honours one can you still go try out or get into the normal version

you don't have to try out for regular choir, you can just sign up in like 6-7th grade in middle school and you're in :)

so what is the biggest difference between normal vs honours choir ? do you sing harder stuff or learn more advanced techniques or something
