I never did find a new apartment, though - but it's okay, the rent here is pretty cheap anyway lol and I know for sure that if I ever get a cat, they'll allow it (my ex-roommate has one, and they'd okayed it for her), whereas if I looked for a new place, I'd risk them having a "no pets" rule.
