still dont understand why my university didnt close today (1 Viewer)

first of all it was 4f this morning and felt like -12 (and ppl have to wait out in the cold just to catch the shuttle), second some of the roads that the shuttles take are still covered in snow and ice, third i heard some ppl say that their cars were sliding in the parking lots, fourth someone slipped and fell on their way to class, and finally there is still snow on some of the walk ways to our classes..wonderful

If you live in the United States, then the rationale I always heard when I was in college was... because people pay a lot of money for every single hour and the university can get more complaints for not holding classes than for holding them despite bad weather.

Still sucks though. I think the only time classes were canceled was literal blizzard conditions, and even then, they still were like "welp, it stopped snowing, come on in" the next day.
