Who had more impact on the industry?

And before you just scream out Exo without thinking about it please dont forget how massive SJ was.

They were the highest selling boy group 4 years in a row at their peak.

Exo revived the physical sales of kpop
I'm gonna say EXO

BUT SuJu gave us the first non-korean idol, so they ain't no slouches either.

in many ways SuJu is like the beta version of both EXO and NCT lmao
Super Junior was putting up big numbers though for album sales in the early 2010s. They never hit a million for one album but they were still destroying almost everyone else at the time.

I´d say Exo because while Super Junior are legends on their own merit, Exo is more well-known internationally. Maybe they were just lucky because they debuted later when kpop was already slowly becoming more popular outside of SK.

Suju- the last man standing :sanapray:

Honestly, they made a lot of things popular in Kpop. Groups with large members for one- debuting with a huge lineup when it was almost unheard of, adding non Korean idols, adding Kyuhyun later, having subunits, etc.

Sorry Sorry was one of the leading songs of the Hallyu wave.

Best selling boy group 4 years in a row.

Made Kpop super popular in Latin America.

Honestly, Suju introduced the diff units and rotational concept that SM later tried with EXO and perfected with NCT, they were the prototype.

This is without mentioning how almost every Suju member can hold a show by themselves ofc, their influence/networking within the industry, their connections and presence is unmatched. It's like they know everyone lol.

And their longevity is insane, they're still selling 400K albums like current top bgs, almost unheard of.

I mean Super Junior was one of the first groups I ever really discovered so it seems wrong to say anyone else but I'd have to say EXO. EXO just really revived album sales as a big thing and brought in a new form of group with half the group promoting here and the other there and then the overall more complex concept behind them as a group.

I think it helped inspire a lot of groups later on or around that time, too. So I have to say EXO in my opinion. Though I think Super Junior is fantastic and definitely deserve some recognition for all they've done for Kpop in general.
