Hello everyone! I guess you noticed a big part of our appreciation of a song is linked with the lyrics and with the language in which they are written. Some combination are likely to exist only with a certain language and therefore the rythm can drive you to another world easier. I have the feeling it's why were are all here, attracted with K-pop. I wanted to ask you if hearing music get you excited enough to spend hours on learning
There we go! Who is actually hyped enough to learn languages only after falling in love with a few songs?
Are you more into korean? Other asian language? I'm really interested to have your opinion!

Here, I have fallen in love with japanese songs and when I'm losing motivation, it helps me out to do my best at keeping learning everyday! Sometimes I found new vocabulary out just by enjoying my favorite groups. I'm also pretty proud I learned a few korean words with K-pop :jenniesmug:

If any time I fell in love with a song, I was learning the language it would take too much time :haylul:
I have a really diverse taste in music and I am a huge music lover as you know. :jisoosmh:

I am assuming both parts :maheart:
I really wish I can be an English master one day :pandaamazed: and to be able to understand more Japanese than I do now.

I began with Korean; but switched to Japanese fast. I barely learned Hangul and whatever little I learned, I already forgot. I'm passing through a stressful situation that sometimes leave me with little motivation to study however.

I'm barely beginning. Some aspects of katakana are bringing me trouble as well as a few words I keep mixing up. Not gotten into much syntax yet.
I can help you if you want ;)
At least you got the hiragana, right? :lovelycooky:
Step by step. Did you see some basic kanji? Such as 月、火、水、木、金、土、日、人、円、何?

I have a few in my flashcards app. I can recognize the last four. There are a few words I already know in kanji; 先生 学生 私 僕 英語 日本語 and a few more.

EDIT: I forgot one I have seen much used; 元気

I'm learning Japanese. I wouldn't say the music hypes me up to learn, but rather when I recognize a word and kanji while listening or watching a music show is what gets me hype.

Well, it's a nice start ^-^
The first ones are useful for the days of the week.
月曜日(げつようび) = Monday
火曜日(かようび) = Tuesday
水曜日(すいようび) = Wednesday
木曜日(もくようび) = Thursday
金曜日(きんようび) = Friday
土曜日(どようび) = Saturday
日曜日(にちようび) = Sunday
Fun fact: In Japan the week starts on Sunday :O

The words I listed are just a sample of what I have in my flashcards app. Most of it all is on hiragana; but there are more kanji words than what I listed.

It's the same in Puerto Rico. We start our week on Sunday.

Where or how do you watch music shows? Any youtube (maybe tiktok) channel?
Not in particular. I search the song and find that a random channel uploaded the music show perf.
