Congrats to Loreen! Just fitting that the next ESC is in Sweden for Abba's 50th anniversary. The people behind Melodifestivalen probably hoped that if anyone, Loreen can do that.

Also Loreen got like 2nd in televotes I think but people are pretending she got like 0 the way they are blaming her for winning (blame the Jury if anything for putting her that far ahead)

Welcome back German ESC-Curse! Next time we better don't sing at all, but send just some cute puppies on stage - so we get at least 12 points overall.

Another problem: 'Blood & Glitter' isn't a bad song and Chris Harms isn't a bad songwriter. But he isn't the best songwriter for straight, catchy songs.

That's the reason why Loreen won again. She and her producers know exactly what they do. My vote went to Australia. For me it was a close call because of Cyprus, but Voyager's live performance was better.

oh why the hate for Blanka? I thought her performances was lovely!

i liked it too! her song is very catchy and nice to listen to, it also gave us the first ever top 3 in the semis. as for the hate, it all started when she was chosen because there were many people rooting for the other song in the national final, gladiator by jann (if you ask me i was glad this didn't go because i absolutely hate it) so when blanka won the national final they all started pulling theories that it was rigged, reaching to such absurdity as assuming that her win was unfair because the son of one jury member was sitting next to her in the audience. they never moved on from that and instead of focusing on supporting jann who seems to be doing well career-wise after that national final, they kept sending hatred towards blanka hoping she might withdraw and let jann participate instead (there was a viral hashtag in poland #blankazrezygnuj which means ("blanka withdraw"). it was really awful to see it happen the whole time so i'm glad blanka proved them wrong

you can never satisfy all people, if finland won the jury vote - their fans would say the televote should be gone. and now that finland wins the televote, suddenly the juries are bad. i tend to disagree with juries too but the 50/50 system is here for a reason and it's ridiculous how some people are acting as if the juries caused cha cha cha to flop terribly (if you ask me... i wished for that to happen) when in reality 2nd is a great result and many other well-received songs got much lower places. sour losers all around.

Germany finished in last place once again… I wonder what would happen if they stop attending the show

Everyone complaining is finn who cant gdt over tvemselfs for our act having hype. I would have loved to see him fail majorly. I am so happy for loreen. She deserved it definetly

I think the mix of pop and metal for Germany was at fault, they needed to go all out on the metal, something out of the box for Germany. Like look at Lordi or Blind Channel some years ago, probably the most comparable to Blood & Glitter when it comes to the ESC. We played it too safe with LOTL. It's definitely not a bad song and the vocals were great from Chris.

I think at this point we might try sending in entries that sing in the German language, make it at least something more unique (not Ikke Hüftgold though please)

As we're one of the "Big 5" I guess it won't be too easy unless they found someone else to help financially. But maybe like a year or two away from the contest wouldn't hurt. We're paying our broadcaster for consistently hitting the bottom 5 every year (minus Michael Schulte in 2018? I think it was) since Lena and Roman Lob. Might put that money to better use.

Worst thing is that Germany finally had an act many people stood behind because they pressured our broadcaster to be more diverse in deciding who's in the national final. So seeing LOTL last might be reason enough for the broadcaster to go back to people like Jendrik , Sister and Levina.
Internal Selections won't be great either cuz we got the awful song from Jendrik from that..

This is a parody from a tv show host, legit better than what we've send the past couple of years.
