T.O.P's agency has now posted an official statement apologizing to fans, following the past week of intense backlash over T.O.P's relationship reveal.
On October 10, T.O.P's agency TOPSPOT PICTURES posted an official statement addressing recent fan concerns.
Over the past week, there has been continuing backlash surrounding T.O.P's recently-revealed relationship with actress Nana. The situation culminated in the closing of T.O.P's representative fansite ChoiSeungHyun.com, which had been running for 20 years. In their final announcement, the fan page cited T.O.P and his agency's 'lack of communication' with fans, as well as 'taking fans' dedication for granted,' as the reason for their termination of operations.
However, the fan site also explained that they were not closing because of T.O.P's relationship with Nana - but instead due to the amount of unpaid work and financial burden expected of them while promoting T.O.P's activities, combined with the lack of communication and acceptance of fan feedback from T.O.P's agency.
Now, T.O.P's agency has responded to the closure of T.O.P's representative fansite, as well as to the backlash from fans as a whole. The agency apologized in their new statement, promising to improve communication with fans going forward.
