You might be disappointed. I most of the time am afraid of bringing my faves into a conversation just because they are not kpop idols. It's frustrating. I can see I share so many things with kpop fans. I adore a group of four young girls who are singers and dancers. I also have an ult bias. I look forward to their comebacks as well. I listen to their music. What's so different? They are Japanese idols. I fear bringing them into a kpop conversation because it's offtopic. They are not kpop idols. Yes, you are right on the part that I make no excuses for preferring jrock alt-idol groups.

Be aware that I'm not a girl. I don't feel the need to make corrections, because it's not that important, but I'm actually a hard-straight 56 year-old man. I don't fit the stereotypes, and I actually hate them. I see my faves as daughters. I'm 100% soft stan.

I get you, I mean I also sometimes feel like I´m screaming into the void. I don´t think I stan that many popular groups. I suppose that is no surprise that on a kpop-centred forum, people prefer kpop, but I understand how cool it would be if people were more open-minded and listened to variety of music and it is indeed wonderful to share some interests. I personally don´t have people around me who would share the same type of music as me in real life. I can´t complain though, I´m old enough to share what I like and not be bothered by anyone´s opinion. Neither do I mind you not being a girl or a female, I apologise for misunderstanding on my part though. I feel like in kpop lots of groups have very young members and I´m not the youngest myself and while I cannot call them "my sons" because the age difference is not bigger than let´s say 8-9 years, I definitely can´t see them as anything but perhaps talented "younger brothers". I would never dare to call Lucas (NCT) my husband, despite the fact that he had sais he doesn´t care about age and our age difference is 8 yeas (a lot, but not that controversial). I just enjoy his energy and would love a friend like that :).
I would love to broad minded and listen to different styles of music. I sometimes check your recommendations and while I am not a big metal, hard rock fan, I´m always happy to try something else. Maybe it is not visible enough, but I´m pretty sure a lot of people appreciate the diversity that you bring in.

We don´t need to get all tete-a-tete and bff, it is ok :). I just want you to know that jpop is not ignored by everyone and you are not ignored either.

I´d say @SHlNEE is definitely someone who I talk to quite often and we seem to get along really well. while we don´t have the same favourite groups I enjoy her taste and am happy to listen to her recommendations. I also feel like we can share talks about daily struggles and all that. crossed fingers that I don´t ruin it with my terrible personality. I have just realised I don´t know your real name :D.
@NiniLin we share similar taste in music. We both adore DPR and krap. I actually am not a big fan of rap in general, though I´m open to all genres, but I do love Korean rap a lot :). We also like chill style of DPR and I think given the time, we´d get along well.
@Yili is someone who loves Ateez and Stray Kids and while we haven´t exchanged much of "real life" adventures, I feel like she is a really cool person.
@bulletproof I love her home country and we exchanged some messages and I´d like to know her better. We haven´t talked about music that much, but she loves B.A.P. so all is cool ♥.
@Yachii seemed really intimidating when I joined the forum, but I admire the passion and hard work that is behind her presence. I like people who are not afraid to be unapologetically themselves. I feel like there might be a lot of interesting conversations coming.
