idk if its just my mom, but she keeps telling me "u never do anything for me", even if like hours before i helped her do something that took me hours to finish, like cutting a tree down lol ive done that once in the middle of my studying session
and more recently she complains that i dont eat as much, but then says im fat if i walk around without a shirt :)

a couple that come to mind. what bout yall?

my mom does that a lot. its so annoying, especially if she does it to people that r visiting. why would u make comments like that to a visitor ? its just bad manners

I don't live with my parents, but I really hate it when the adult figures I live with annoy me about not asking questions but when i do ask questions they yell and bitch about the type of question or when/where i asked it.

Another thing I can think of is when I had gotten my first job due to them telling me to attain one, but then they told me I can't "work all the time" and even encouraged me to call out to help them/for outings.. eventually I ended up being fired.

says too much abt my skin color. If she really wanted to, she could be white-passing if it weren't for her Spanish accent. I'm darker than her and she always like "I'm going to take you to a place to lighten your skin." she just too much to handle bruh

• Invalidating my mental health/need to seek help
• Critical of my weight, and then say I don’t have to lose weight
• Tells me to fo more but then complains when I add more work hours because “I’m too stressed”
• Complaining that my room is a mess despite barely being home
• Saying that I’m on my phone too much, when being home is the only time I get to text people (and sometimes that the only method of communication because of distance)
• Undermining my intelligence (ex. saying how they’re surprised someone like me could get into a college program)
• Doesn’t acknowledge when they’ve made a mistake
• Prying too much into my relationship (I’m the one in the relationship not you guys)

my mom also tells me stuff like that and sometimes gossip with people from my hometown and im like "who? idk that person mom" and she like "oh but u know they had u on their arms when u were a kid" lol

Automatically thinks I’m upset if I look at them wrong, say something in a wrong tone. If I say I’m not upset (which I’m always not) they don’t believe me because i have an “attitude”. Nope I know what I feel I’m not upset Also my mom hates whenever I ask “Why?” Like when she explains how she or how we should do something and if I feel like there might be a better solution I’ll say “Why don’t we try or do it this way?” So I’m now in constant fear whenever I let that word slip out in front of my mom because it makes her so upset. Now I’ve just gotten into the mindset to agree with everything she says even if I disagree to avoid unnecessary stress.

-controlling what i wear
-yelling at me for spending my money on things that make me happy
-emotionally blackmailing me
