All of these people who are catfishing have no heart whatsoever. They are playing with people's emotions just to get a kick out of it.
It's extremely easy to be catfished and I have also been catfished before (years ago).

Anyway, here are the 8 most heartless catfish ever. Which one do you think is the worst?

People don't always that people online are real people too. If you are having friendship with someone online it's real friendship. If you wouldn't lie to your irl friend you shouldn't to your online friend. Ofc it's not wisest to reveal everything online, but that doesn't mean you should make fake persona. I know someone people who have been hurt by people they thought were close just posing as someone else.

Also looking at the clips most of those people just seem unable to feel remorse. They probably seem sociopaths or maybe they have narcism.
