And to think I was only 15 and a freshman when we first met and now I'm going to be graduating as an 18-year-old this spring! That's baffling to me.

We didn't come back to 8th grade after spring break. Instead, we did online school until the school year ended lmao (about 2 months)

Freshman year was a blur because we had strict rules due to COVID. We had to wear masks at all times except when eating and during our "mask breaks" (if our teacher allowed, we went outside, and as long as we distanced ourselves from others, we would be able to take our masks off and breathe normally. And that would be like 5-10 minutes).

We also had to do online school during snow days and some weeks out of the year. Students were also presented with the option to either be completely online for the semester or be in person but do online school when needed. We also had to go home and do online school if we were in contact with someone who went home due to COVID (fun times). I did in-person school because I knew I wouldn't be able to focus. It was better for me because I heard horror stories of more people failing that year who did online school than those who did in person.

Sophomore year was better especially because they stopped requiring us to wear masks by October in my state. The rules were also a lot less strict. Probably my favorite year as far as classes, teachers, and friends I made.

Junior year was so hard because you had to deal with school but also standardized testing, scholarships, and applying for colleges. You had to get focused on your future. I'm so glad I took a break lmao. But it was also a very fun year as far as teachers and classmates went. I was also in a lot of fun clubs that year.

Senior year is going great actually. It's difficult but it's easier to tell myself that I'm almost done because it's actually close. I'm actually getting involved in more things than I've ever done. It's been fulfilling and going better as the finisher than I could've ever imagined. It also feels so nice and satisfying to be called a senior officially too.

Yep but everyone has their own experiences. If I were to give any advice to incoming high school students, it would be to 1) keep a positive mindset, 2) get involved, 3) plan carefully and 4) make the most out of this time because it's some of your last years of childhood.
