Oh yeah, we definitely do still use physical paper copies. It depends on the class and the teacher, really. My Intro to Supply Chain class is almost all computer whereas my Algebra III class is almost all paper (especially because we usually have to show work). It never gets 100% either method though. Tests and quizzes can vary from on paper to on computer (they have methods to make sure you aren't looking stuff up for your test such as taking away your phone, watching what you do live on your computer and preventing you from switching tabs or copying and pasting). But again, depends on the class and teacher.

It's also easier to grade multiple choice because it just tells you what they got wrong if you set it up right.

Textbooks, not so much. I read that teachers still use physical textbooks sometimes but it's just so much cheaper, environmentally friendly and space friendly to find and use information that's online.

And in case you're wondering, yes, we still read physical books 😛

My school has this program called CTE where you can take classes based on what you want to do as a career. They have different sectors that you can become a completer in: Business, Medical, Education, Family Consumer Science, Architecture, Computer/Robotics, Agriculture, etc. You're required to take at least one class from any CTE sector and anything after that is your choice.

LOL nice :P At my school, you're required to take Algebra I, Geometry and Algebra II and another full credit of a math class (up to you). We also have statistics, pre-calculus, AP calculus, etc. but you could also take online college courses that are sponsored by the local community college that's like 10 minutes away. The great thing about the college courses is that you can get actual college credit. If you get enough, you'd be able to skip freshman year and that will shave down your college costs by a LOT (I'm talking starting college as a sophomore even if you're freshman age)

Yeah, math is almost always show your work, get the right answer. But we would get partial credit for showing some work, even if it wasn't right. If we just put the answer when the teacher specifically says to show your work, then you wouldn't get any credit even if it was the right answer.

The ACT strongly recommends that you show your work but it's multiple choice and you're not required to. They barely give you enough room or time to do much work anyway 😭

I'm doing well! I had a chiropractic adjustment last night because I hurt my shoulder pretty bad at Jiu-Jitsu practice last Thursday. It feels much better now but now I have a very sore back lmao (it should go away soon though). They are scary but help SO much. Like she did something where she turned my neck far to where I thought she was going to kill me but I barely felt it. I just heard a few pops which scared me a lot.

I also had a senior meeting today and they introduced local scholarships (which are due March 14th) and senior schedules for the rest of the year. Really showed me how close I am to graduation.

I know...I'm not ready but at the same time, I'm so ready. It seems like it's taking forever though.

My school just changed their bell schedule where the passing periods are reduced by a minute and lunches are 6 minutes shorter. It only directly benefits underclassmen who have to stay until May 31 because it adds up and prevents us from making as many snow days at the end of the semester. But seniors get out of school on May 10 and we still have to feel this.

We had about 12 days off from snow days which was nice but since we only have 3 set days that we have to make up, the other ones are taking away from our current free time.

I am just so ready to get out. But my high school experience was pretty decent so it'll be bittersweet. Especially as the majority of my friends don't have the same plans as me.

I get what you mean, I don’t have much longer left till I graduate college. Basically just an internship, and my thesis left.

You guys have to make up snow days??? That’s absurd!

interesting we never had those classes when I was in HS. The curriculum was pretty standard across my state and being a good asian kid we'd all just complete 2 maths, phsyics, chemistry, english (or english literature) and either economics or history or political and legal studies

yeap showing one's working is just as important if not more than getting the answer right
