It feels weird when you have a story idea and haven’t written something in such a long time. That was my case and I guess I am aiming to do a one-shot fanfic with a fan character (whose’s written profile I am working in).

For the past 150 years, Xin Yue was the direct line between the Divination Commission and the Arbiter-General of the Xiaonzhou Yuque. Along with the basic duties of being a member of the Divination Commission, the Xianzhou native was responsible for setting up meetings, and peer-reviewing strategies before handing them over to Seer Strategist, Yaoguang. She gained the title of the Seer’s Eyes as the residents call her the “Arbiter-General’s Second Pair of Eyes”.

On some occasions, under Yaoguang’s permission, Xin Yue would be dispatched on missions that required her guidance from start to finish. These missions would range from a few days to a few months, with the latter being rare. Her final mission in the Yuque lasted for 2 1/2 months with limited communications on all ends. Not long after the last mission, a cycrane from Lufou arrived with a letter. A job offer by their Divination Commission was sent to her residence. Job offers from one of the Xianzhou flagships don’t come very often.

With the limited time Xin Yue had, she informed her higher-ups, including General Yaoguang about the job offer. With help and consideration from them, Xin Yue chose to accept the job offer. The Yuque’s loss was a gain for the Luofu. For Xin Yue, it was an opportunity to return home to where it all started.
